General Hotel Terms and Conditions

  1. General provisions

1.1. The General Hotel Terms and Conditions (hereinafter GTC) summarize the contractual content on the basis of which Hotel Lidó Siófok – ( 8600 Siófok, Petőfi sétány 11. ), hereafter the Service Provider) generally concludes an accommodation contract with its Guests.

1.2. Individual conditions are not part of these General Terms and Conditions, but they do not exclude the conclusion of separate, special agreements with travel agents and organizers, sometimes with different conditions suitable for the given business.

  1. Contracting parties

2.1. The services provided by the Service Provider are used by the Guest. If the Guest places the order for the services directly with the Service Provider, the Guest will be the Contracting Party. The Service Provider and the Guest together, if the conditions are met, become contractual parties (hereinafter: Parties).

2.2. If the order for the services is submitted to the Service Provider by a third party (hereinafter referred to as the Intermediary) on behalf of the Guest, the terms of cooperation are governed by the agreement between the Service Provider and the Intermediary. In this case, the Service Provider is not obliged to check whether the third party legally represents the Guest.

  1. Method and conditions of using the service

3.1. The Service Provider always sends a written offer to the Guest’s verbal or written offer request. If a specific order is not received within 48 hours of sending the offer, the Service Provider’s offer will cease to be binding.

3.2. The Agreement is created solely by the written confirmation of the Guest’s reservation in writing sent by the Service Provider, and is therefore considered a written Agreement.

3.3. A verbal reservation, agreement, amendment, or its verbal confirmation by the Service Provider does not constitute a contract.

3.4. The Agreement on the use of accommodation services is for a specific period of time.

3.5. If the Guest permanently leaves the room before the end of the specified period, the Service Provider is entitled to the full amount for the service stipulated in the Contract. The Service Provider is entitled to resell a room vacated before the expiration date.

3.6. The prior consent of the Service Provider is required for the extension of the accommodation service initiated by the Guest. In this case, the Service Provider may stipulate the reimbursement of the fee for the already performed service.

3.7. The condition of using the accommodation service is that the Guests prove their identity in accordance with the legal regulations before occupying the room. No one can stay in the hotel without notification.

3.8. Amendments and/or additions to the Agreement require a written agreement signed by the Parties.

  1. Beginning and end of accommodation / check-in; check out/

4.1. The Guest has the right to occupy the rented premises from 14:00 on the agreed day.

4.2. In the event that the Guest does not appear by 6:00 p.m. on the agreed day, the Service Provider has the right to withdraw from the contract, unless a later arrival time has been stipulated.

4.3. If the Guest has paid an advance, the room(s) will remain reserved until 10:00 a.m. the next day at the latest.

4.4. The Guest must leave the room by 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure.

4.5. Depending on the occupancy of the hotel, early arrival and late departure are available for a fee. If you wish to use this service, please let our reception know the day before your arrival.

4.6. In the case of breakfast the meals are served buffet-style if the number of dining guests exceeds the min. 20 people

4.7. If it is possible to book the rooms before 2:00 p.m., the rent for the rooms is: HUF 3,000/hour/room, for family apartments: HUF 5,000/apartment/hour. This tariff also applies in case of late departure

  1. Extension of accommodation

5.1. To extend the stay by the Guest, the prior consent of the Service Provider is required.

5.2. If the Guest does not vacate his room by 11:00 a.m. on the day indicated as the day of departure at check-in and the Service Provider has not previously agreed to the extension of the stay, the Service Provider is entitled to invoice the room price for an additional day and at the same time the Service Provider’s service obligation is terminated.

  1. Prices

6.1. The current rack rates of the hotel are posted on the information board in the hotel lobby. The price lists of other services are located in the hotel or the hotel website. The hotel provider can change the room rates any time and the rates may vary on different websites.

6.2. The Service Provider may change its advertised prices without prior notice (for example, due to package prices or other discounts). If the Guest has booked accommodation and the Service Provider has confirmed it in writing, the Service Provider may no longer change this accommodation price. The Service Provider is current

  1. Offers, discounts

7.1. Current offers and discounts are announced on the hotel’s website. The advertised discounts always apply to individual room bookings.

7.2. The advertised discounts cannot be combined with any other discounts.

7.3. In the case of reservations subject to special conditions, group reservations or events, the terms and conditions set forth in an individual contract.

  1. Child discounts

8.1. We provide the following accommodation discounts for children – in the case of accommodation in a shared room with their parents (min. 2 people):

– 0 – 1.99 years old 100%

– 2 – 5.99 years old cca. 70%

  • 50% discount on prices up to the age of 6 – 11.99

8.2. It is only possible to place an extra bed in certain room types.

8.3. The request for an extra bed must be agreed with the service provider in advance, at the same time as the reservation.

  1. Cancellation conditions

9.1. If the hotel has not specified other conditions in its offer, the cancellation and modification conditions are as follows:

  • in case of cancellation within 7 days before the confirmed arrival date, the penalty amount is 30% of the total price of the reservation (pre- and post-season)
  • in case of cancellation within 30 days prior to the confirmed date of arrival, the penalty is 30% of the total price of the reservation (in high season (25.06.-31.08.)

If the Contracting Party is a business organization (including business associations, social organizations, churches, municipalities, local government institutions, state organizations and their institutions, etc.), the Contracting Party/Customer is also obliged to pay the penalty due in the event of cancellation to the Service Provider if the accommodation fee is otherwise borne directly by the Guest acting on behalf of the customer.

9.2. If the Contracting Party secured the use of the accommodation services by paying in advance and does not arrive on the day of arrival (no written cancellation is received), the Service Provider will enforce the entire amount of the advance payment specified in the Contract as a penalty. In this case, the accommodation will be reserved for the Contracting Party until 10:00 a.m. on the day following the day of arrival, after which the Service Provider’s service obligation will cease.

9.3. If the Contracting Party has not ensured the use of accommodation services by advance payment, credit card guarantee, or in other ways stipulated in the Contract, the Service Provider’s service obligation shall cease after 18:00 local time on the day of arrival.

  1. Cancellation conditions regarding accommodation for groups and events

10.1. The Customer can cancel the service free of charge up to 30 days before arrival.

10.2. Cancellation fee for cancellation within 30 days:

– 30% of the ordered services in case of cancellation within 2-30 days,

– In case of cancellation or no-show within 48 hours, 100% of the ordered services must be paid as a cancellation fee or penalty.

10.2. The written cancellation must reach the hotel by the specified time.

10.3. If the guest does not arrive on the indicated day and no cancellation has been made the hotel has the right to rent the room to a third party customer.

  1. Cancellation conditions regarding groups

11.1. For meals, we can no accept changes within 48 hours prior to the service.

  1. Refusal to fulfill the contract, termination of the service obligation

12.1. The Service Provider is entitled to terminate the Agreement for accommodation services with immediate effect, thus refusing to provide the services, if:

– the Guest does not use the room or the facility as intended;

  • the Guest does not leave his room by 11.30 a.m. on the day indicated as the day of departure at check-in and the Service Provider has not agreed in advance to extend the stay;
  • the Guest behaves in an unacceptable and rude manner with hotel employees, is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, displays threatening, insulting or other unacceptable behaviour;

– the Guest suffers from an infectious disease;

  • the Contracting Party does not fulfill its advance payment obligation specified in the Contract by the specified date;

12.2. If the Agreement between the parties is not fulfilled due to force majeure, the agreement will be terminated

  1. Method of payment, guarantee

13.1. The consideration for the ordered services can be paid on the spot in cash (in HUF or Euro), with a bank card marked as accepted by the Service Provider, or by bank transfer, or by payment via a SZÉP card.

13.2. In the case of bank transfer – unless the agreement concluded with the Service Provider stipulates otherwise – the Guest must transfer the value of the ordered services to the hotel’s bank account before the specified date of arrival in such a way that the given amount is credited to the hotel’s bank account by the day of arrival or
