9. Lake Balaton Supermarathon – Ultrabalaton marathon

Balaton Supermarathon offers a great race for those who look for real challenges. The race is a 212-kilometer ultra marathon around the lake, and the start and the finish are both in Balatonaliga. The ultra marathon competition is at least a two-day event.. The running course leads around Hungary’s famous Lake Balaton. Not only individual runners, but also relay teams can take part in the race and they can freely decide on the daily distances of the teammates.
In the year of 2015, as before: the race leaves from Balatonaliga to the north and arrives to Balatonaliga from the south
The ultra running received the silver certification in 2008, and thus became the first Hungarian Ultrabalaton the competition, which has reached this recognition.

Novelties of 2015 ultrabalaton marathon
From 2015 In addition to the individuals, doubles and relays, the organisers will separately rate the three-person teams as well as company and university teams.
Bikers are invited to cycle the distance besides runners!
